Top Boko haram leader Adamu Rugu and 3 others killed in gun combat with soldiers

Some soldiers from 192 battalion of the nigeria army taking part in operation lafiya dole have killed four members of the Boko haram group including one of their leaders Adamu rugu from gwoza on Wednesday 30 January, 2019.

The soldiers where on patrol when the bokoharam sect attacked them. According to a statement by colonel Ado isa the deputy director of army public relation division 1 operation lafiya dole ” the soldiers while on patrol along gwoza -yamteke came across some bokoharam terrorists attempting to infiltrate the public. On sighting the troops the terrorists opened fire on them which led to heavy exchange of fire. However the gallant troops applied superior fighting skills, overpowered, and neutralised four bokoharam terrorists including a very notorious terrorist, an indigene of gwoza town who had been troubling the citizens of gwoza for years.
